Burke Care Expectations
Listen intently to the individual’s story, identify patterns and help reframe their narrative through biblical lens and a gospel world-view.
Create and maintain a plan of care.
Communicate biblical stories that relate to their presenting circumstatance.
Disciple the individual in spiritual disciples starting with bible intake, prayer, and serving others.
Follow the ABC Counseling Journal methods, keeping personal annotations that are helpful when transitioning from one session to another.
Maintain a minimum case load of 4 sessions per week working approximately 48 weeks each year.

We seek…
followers of Jesus Christ who have a heart for helping other live out the Gospel in very real and tangible ways. Burke Care Discpleship Professionals are expected to have completed the Association of BIblical Counseling (ABC) Level 1 Certifcation (or in some cases, a similiar backgroud). Additionally, a working knowledge of Wayne Grudum’s Systematic Thelogy and a desire to complete ABC Level 2.

our team to use the standards and methods laid out by Burke Care in conjunction with ABC and be able to navigate the online ptatform, manage their own work priorites and create a schedule that is convenient for themselvs and the ones they are discipling. A working knowledge of the ABC Counseling Journal process is a plus.
We require…
individuals to provide a copy of their own Professional Liability insurance coveage (minimum coverage of $1M). Burke Care will assist individuals with this process. Additionally, the individual must provide their own computer hardware with access to a camera, a smartphone and an above average internet connection.
